Usage Note
Très is the standard intensifier before adjectives and adverbs, but it famously cannot modify a verb — to want something very much, you switch to beaucoup. With a handful of nouns it forms fixed phrases like avoir très faim (to be very hungry), where English would never say 'very hunger'.
