Usage Note
Miche refers specifically to a large round country-style loaf (pain de campagne), heavier and denser than a baguette. In Quebec French and in informal metropolitan slang it has unrelated colloquial uses, so context matters. At a boulangerie, asking for une miche will always be understood as the bread.
Examples
"Elle a acheté une miche de pain à la boulangerie."
Natural Translation
She bought a round loaf at the bakery.
