Usage Note
Force covers physical strength, a force of nature, and abstract power or compulsion. The expression à force de (by dint of, by repeatedly doing something) is very common: à force de travailler = by working hard. De force means 'by force', while de toutes ses forces means 'with all one's might'.
Examples
