Usage Note
Demain is both an adverb and an informal noun (le demain = the future, though rarely used). The phrase à demain! means 'see you tomorrow' and is extremely common as a farewell. Après-demain means 'the day after tomorrow,' following the same pattern as avant-hier (the day before yesterday).
