Usage Note
Courir is an irregular verb (present: je cours, tu cours, il court; past participle: couru). It is used both literally for running and figuratively (courir un risque = to run a risk, le bruit court que... = rumour has it that...). The expression tu peux toujours courir dismissively means 'you can forget it' (literally 'you can keep on running').
Examples
"Elle court cinq kilomètres chaque matin."
Natural Translation
She runs five kilometres every morning.
