Usage Note

Amabilité refers to a friendly, pleasant manner toward others. It is often used in polite formulas: auriez-vous l'amabilité de… (would you be so kind as to…). The adjective aimable and its opposite peu aimable are the everyday equivalents; amabilité is slightly more formal.
