Usage Note
Tué is the past participle of tuer (to kill) used as an adjective, as in un soldat tué (a killed/dead soldier). It also functions as a noun: les tués means 'the dead' or 'the casualties' in reports of accidents or battles. The expression se tuer à faire quelque chose means 'to work oneself to death doing something' (not necessarily literal).
Examples
"Plusieurs soldats ont été tués dans l'attaque."
Natural Translation
Several soldiers were killed in the attack.
