Usage Note

Stressant is a modern borrowing-derived adjective that has become fully naturalised in spoken and written French. The feminine form is stressante. A person who feels stressed uses the related adjective stressé(e), as in je suis très stressé. The underlying noun le stress is also borrowed and used identically to English.
