Poisse is an informal, colloquial word for persistent bad luck. Quelle poisse ! is a common exclamation ('What rotten luck!'). The verb poisser exists but is rare; the adjective poisseux (sticky, grimy) shares the root and a secondary sense of 'bad luck' in slang.
