Usage Note
Philosophique describes anything relating to philosophy — a question, an attitude, or a text. It is invariable in gender (un débat philosophique / une question philosophique). Informally, être philosophique face à quelque chose means to take something stoically, akin to English 'be philosophical about it'. The noun is philosophie and the practitioner is le/la philosophe.
