Paroisse is the basic ecclesiastical unit of the Catholic Church in France, equivalent to an English parish. The adjective paroissial (parochial) and le curé de la paroisse (the parish priest) are common related expressions. In everyday speech, ce n'est pas ma paroisse informally means 'that's not my concern/patch'.
