Usage Note
Pâturage refers to land used for grazing livestock, or the act of grazing (le droit de pâturage is grazing rights). The related verb is paître (to graze), which is irregular. Pâture is a near-synonym but more often means 'fodder' or food for animals in a figurative sense (donner en pâture — to throw to the wolves).
Examples
"Les vaches broutent dans le pâturage."
Natural Translation
The cows graze in the pasture.
