Usage Note
Mont-blanc (lowercase in culinary use) is a classic French dessert of sweetened chestnut purée piped in vermicelli-like threads over whipped cream on a meringue base, named for its resemblance to a snow-capped mountain. It should not be confused with the mountain Mont Blanc (the highest peak in the Alps) or the pen brand. The dessert is a fixture of traditional French pâtisserie, especially in autumn.
Examples
"Elle commande toujours un mont-blanc en automne."
