Usage Note

Invulnérable is used both in physical contexts (un matériau invulnérable) and figuratively (se croire invulnérable — to think oneself untouchable). It is invariable in gender — the same form is used for masculine and feminine. The noun invulnérabilité exists but is uncommon in everyday speech.
