Usage Note
Immédiatement is the adverb from immédiat ('immediate'). In spoken French it is often replaced by the shorter tout de suite ('right away'), but immédiatement carries more formal or emphatic weight. It is always placed after the verb it modifies.
Examples
"Venez immédiatement, c'est urgent."
Natural Translation
Come immediately, it's urgent.
