Usage Note

fourrer is informal or colloquial in most uses: fourrer quelque chose dans means to stuff something into. In cooking it means to fill or stuff (un chocolat fourré = a filled chocolate). The reflexive se fourrer colloquially means 'to get oneself into (trouble)': se fourrer dans le pétrin.
