Usage Note
Noce is almost always used in the plural les noces to refer to a wedding celebration or wedding party. The singular une noce can appear in older or literary French. The expression nuit de noces means 'wedding night', and voyage de noces is a honeymoon trip. Do not confuse with noix ('walnut').
