Usage Note

Museau primarily means the projecting nose and mouth of an animal. Informally it can refer to a person's face: faire la tête / faire son museau means to sulk or pull a face. In charcuterie, museau de boeuf is a cold-cut made from pressed cow's muzzle, a bistro classic. The plural is museaux.
