Usage Note
Las (feminine lasse) expresses deep weariness or exhaustion, both physical and emotional — closer to 'fed up' or 'worn out' than simply 'tired'. The final s is silent. It appears in the phrase être las de quelque chose, meaning to be weary of something. The noun lassitude shares the same root.
Examples
"Il est las de toujours répéter les mêmes choses."
Natural Translation
He is weary of always repeating the same things.
