Usage Note
Justesse refers to the quality of being exactly right — in measurement, musical pitch, word choice, or a well-aimed shot. The phrase de justesse means 'just barely' or 'by the skin of one's teeth': il a réussi de justesse (he just scraped through). Do not confuse with la justice (justice), which has a different meaning.
