Also means
to entitle
Usage Note
Intituler means to give a title to a work, chapter, or speech, and its reflexive form s'intituler ('to be called/titled') is very common — ce livre s'intitule… ('this book is titled…'). The reflexive is often more natural than the active voice. The related noun is intitulé, meaning 'title' or 'heading'.
Examples
"Ce roman s'intitule 'Le voyage'."
Natural Translation
This novel is titled 'The Journey'.
Literal Translation
This novel titles itself 'The Journey'.
