Usage Note

Indigner is most often used reflexively — s'indigner de quelque chose means to be outraged or indignant about something. The adjective indigné means indignant and the noun l'indignation means indignation. The 2010 manifesto Indignez-vous! by Stéphane Hessel popularised the word in political discourse.
