Usage Note
Gourer (almost always reflexive: se gourer) is familiar/colloquial for making an error — closer to 'to get it wrong' or 'to screw up' than to formal se tromper. Je me suis gouré d'étage means 'I got the wrong floor'. It is not appropriate in writing or formal speech.
Examples
"Je me suis gouré de date."
Natural Translation
I got the date wrong.
Literal Translation
I myself got-wrong of date.
