Usage Note
Foireux is informal/argot, derived from foire (a mess, originally a fair). It describes plans, ideas, or objects that are poorly conceived or likely to fail: un plan foireux is a half-baked scheme. The feminine form is foireuse. In polite or written French, douteux or bancal are safer equivalents.
Examples
"Son plan était complètement foireux."
Natural Translation
His plan was completely half-baked.
