Dédier is a regular -er verb most often used for dedicating a book, song, or monument to someone: il a dédié son roman à sa mère. The reflexive se dédier à means 'to devote oneself to', a close synonym of se consacrer à. The noun form is dédicace (dedication/autograph), and the act of signing a book for a fan is faire une dédicace.
