Coach is an anglicism widely used in French sports, business, and personal development contexts. It is invariable in gender — une coach for a woman and un coach for a man. The verb coacher (to coach) has been derived from it. In formal contexts, entraîneur or conseiller may be preferred, but coach is standard in everyday speech.
