Usage Note
British is used in French as an unchanged anglicism — it does not add French gender endings, so un humour british and une attitude british are both unchanged. It often carries a slightly ironic or affectionate connotation of stereotypically British style or reserve. The standard French alternative is britannique, which does inflect normally.
Examples
"Il a gardé son flegme british en toutes circonstances."
Natural Translation
He kept his British composure in all circumstances.
