Accorder covers granting something (accorder une faveur, 'to grant a favor') and tuning a musical instrument (accorder une guitare). The reflexive s'accorder means to agree or to treat oneself to something (je me suis accordé une pause, 'I gave myself a break'). The noun un accord means both an agreement and a musical chord.
